Abstract

Powered by the exponential rate of mobile penetration digital technology is driving agriculture business across India.e Agriculture sector in India, driven by 150 million farmers and contributing close to one-h of India’s GDP, is bustling with Digital energy, ranging from real-time digital agriculture advisories (by companies like Cropin, Fasal and BharatAgri) to building end-to-end marketing solutions and e-commerce (like e-NAM, DeHAAT and Kalgudi). An enabling digital eco-system is fast becoming a reality in India, facilitated by the government of India. e Digital Agriculture Mission (2021-25), IDEA Stack, and PPP in digital agriculture etc are initiatives to this eect. is is also reected in private investments that are directed into the agriculture and food sector which stood at USD 889 million in 2021, a whopping 90% CAGR from 2019.
