Abstract

We all love to eat healthy, care to stay healthy, but not many of us care to grow or farm healthy. Importance of Agri-tech is well established across the globe contributing to enhanced productivity in the farm sector given the increasing trend in world population and thus increase in food consumption. e global Agri-tech market was valued at US$ 17 Mn in 2019 and according to McKinsey, if connectivity is implemented successfully in agriculture, the industry could tack on $500 billion in additional value to the global gross domestic value by 2030; instrumenting innovative business models, investments in sophisticated technologies, triggering improved farm input products such as seeds, crop nutrient solutions, crop protection solutions, and farming solutions for optimizing productivity.
