Abstract

Introduction

Agriculture is one of the most important activities in our country. Nearly half of an Indian people depending on their livelihood on agricultural activities. Today hard work of farmers is being empowered by technology with rise of farm mechanization. Agriculture is becoming more productive, efficient and sustainable. Mechanization of agriculture is an essential input to the modern agriculture. It enhances productivity, besides reducing human drudgery and cost of cultivation. Mechanization also helps in improving utilization efficiencies of other inputs, safety and comfort of the Agricultural worker, improvements in the quality and the value addition of the produce. Besides, enabling the farmers to rise a second crop or multi crop making the Indian agriculture attractive and way of life by becoming commercial instead of subsistence.
