Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy
Upon acceptance of a manuscript for publication in the Journal of Agricultural Engineering (India) (JAEI), the author(s) will be advised to complete a “Copyright Transfer and Publication Ethics Agreement Form” (Click here to download). While confirming acceptance of a manuscript, the corresponding author will be requested to submit the above agreement form. The manuscript will be published on receipt of the agreement from the authors.
Authors shall retain the rights to reuse their research work reported in the JAEI, share, disseminate, and maximise the impact of their research under our publishing agreement. However, the authors of an article published in the JAEI cannot share the published full article in a social networking site for scientists and researchers (for example on ResearchGate or Academia.edu) or on a commercial site without explicit permission of the ISAE. The ISAE shall give permission for sites /commercial organisations with whom it has a valid agreement for the purpose.
Subscribers of the journal may reproduce the Table of Content or prepare a list of articles, including abstracts, for internal circulation within their institutions. Permission of the Publisher (ISAE) shall be required for resale or distribution outside the institution and for all other derivative works, including compilations and translations. If excerpts from other copyrighted works are included by the author(s) in the manuscript, the author(s) remain exclusively responsible for seeking necessary permission from the copyright owner(s) and credit the source(s) suitably in the article. The editors of the journal process a manuscript with clear understanding that the authors have fully satisfied themselves that there is no impact of the regulations and laws on intellectual property rights on their manuscript, and that the authors have obtained necessary clearances from the concerned organisations. Any patent or a form of commercial use of a part or full portion of the reported data/ drawings/ figures/ statements must be declared by the authors while submitting a manuscript. By submitting the “Copyright Transfer and Publication Ethics Agreement Form”, authors also affirms that the manuscript does not violate the intellectual property rights of any individual / organisation/ third party, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless the officials of the Journal and its Publisher in respect of any claim on account of violation of intellectual property rights.
